
English Composition is offered through Jacksonville State University. This course provides a foundation in the organizational structures of essay writing, literary analysis, and research. Students must possess strong written and oral skills, an excellent vocabulary, and a willingness to read. Students who successfully complete the courses will receive up to six hours of freshman composition credit.
English 12 Honors focuses on college readiness of our soon-to-be graduates. Seniors will read a variety of materials from the British literature canon as well as focus on necessary grammar, vocabulary, and writing skills. Students will complete a Sr. Research Project and Portfolio in which they explore and prepare for their chosen careers.

Advanced Placement English Language and Composition focuses on analysis and synthesis of rhetoric and argument. Students need to have strong written, oral, vocabulary, and reading skills.

This class covers both 10th and 11th grade high school curriculum. This is a college course as well. Successful completion of the course will result in up to six hours of college credit.
